VIRTUAL REALITY PROPERTY TOURS
EXPLORE HIGH-END REALTIME ENVIRONMENTS IN VR
BRINGING VR TO REAL
ESTATE GIANTS
We had the pleasure of showcasing the future of property sales at The Shard London by creating a High-end property tour solution for Athena Advisors. Using multiple headsets we took prospective property investors through a luxury villa before it was physically built.
Harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 4 the villa achieved life like graphical quality with the added ability to interactive with elements throughout the villa. This combination allowed each user to fully visualise how the lighting and the space would feel like on a 1 to 1 scale.
This experience also showcased the value of scalability when producing a VR experience. Our goal was to deliver across a range of devices from high end to low end but keeping quality and the usability consistent throughout.
SCALABILITY IN VR EXPERIENCES
A key element in our design was the scalability of the VR experience. Athena wanted a VR solution that could be taken to one to one meetings but also be shown at their headquarters to wow potential investors.
With so many VR headsets available it is important to take scalability into consideration when designing an immersive experience to ensure the final product can be showcased across any platform, from VR all the way down social media.
For the Villa, we designed a fully immersive realtime version on a top spec PC that ran on the HTC VIVE. Creating this version initially meant that once all visuals were as high end as they could be.
We were then able to scale down the entire experience to work on mobile VR headsets such as Gear VR and Google daydreams by creating 360° renders and creating an interactive hotspot tour.
Taking the scale further away from the immersive route we are then able to use web VR and social media to get push experience to the masses and reach more users than possible on physical headsets.
This hierarchy workflow is what we base all our interactive projects on, always striving to make the best possible visuals and interactivity for an experience before scaling down to other mediums.
